Today’s card is a another unplanned birthday card, but OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS…I LOVE it! I haven’t made a card using the Flower Patch stamp set in quite a while. I didn’t have much time to make this card, so I quickly cased this card from pinterest. You can find the original post here.
I simply adore this card!
The chevron background is created with a Stampin’ Up’s Positively Chevron background stamp.
I used a paper distresser to create the edge on the Sahara Sand cardstock on the very top layer of this card. The background stamp is inked in the same color to give it a subtle look.
The flowers and leaves are inked individually on white cardstock and then cut out using the coordinating Flower Fair Framelits dies. Then I cut out the sentiment using the Decorative Label punch.
Finally, I added 3 diamonds to finish off the card. One hour later, it was picked up by the birthday girl. This card came with a big warm hug. 😀
Here are the colors and dimensions for this card:
Cardbase (4.25″ x 11″) and 2nd matted sheet (3.5″ x 3.5″) – Blushing Bride
1st (4″ x 5.25″) and 3rd (3.25″ x 3.25″) matted sheets – Sahara Sand
Blue Flower: Pool Party, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry
Yellow Flower: So Saffron and Crushed Curry
Pink Flower: Blushing Bride and Calypso Coral
Leaves: Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive
Sentiment is stamped in Bermuda bay, punched, then sponged in Blushing Bride and finally, “edged” using Calypso Coral.
