Hi Everyone!
Last night before bed, I stamped 30 images. I went through all my stamps and pulled out all my outlined stamps that I decided I would want to color for Kathy Racoosin’s 30 day coloring challenge. There are stamps I’ve never used before and as I was stamping these images, I felt sooo much better about using them for this challenge. They won’t be trashed – I am inspired to make cards out of each and every one of these images. The idea for this challenge is just to color a little bit everyday. It doesn’t have to be extravagant and you don’t even have to finish. It’s about finding time to bring yourself joy and to get better at coloring in the process. We have such a wonderful community of crafters who are doing the same and encouraging each other along the way. I’m GLAD I actually have every intention to playing along every day.
At lunch today – I picked out my first image. It’s the first day of the challenge and I wanted to do something pretty. One thing led to another and before I knew it – I was cutting out the image and stamping some more leaves and then I was inspired to make a full card.
I stamped a few leaves/berries on top of a light blue sponged background and propped the gold frame up using some foam tape. I decided my flowers and leaves needed something more so I chose a darker pink/red and dotted my peony. It looks interesting – but I also feel like I gave it a disease. Ugh…hate it or love it? Then I took my white jelly roll pen and decided to add some lines and dots to the leaves to finish off the card.
Definitely room for improvement with these dots – and possibly the wrong image for this technique. But hey…that’s what this challenge is for, right? Try new things and see what works for you!
Kathy Racoosin is an amazing artist. If you’ve never heard of her before or want to read more, you can click on the 30 day color challenge poster above and it will take you to her blog. I hope you enjoyed this card! I’ll be sharing more throughout the month but guarantee I won’t have time to make a card EVERY DAY! 🙂
XOXO,

Coloring is magic, Pat! I think you should stamp this for the challenge and color it every day. I bet you will color it different every time and will see improvement! It looked completely different before I gave it the chicken pox!
