I love it when I get to make baby cards because I get to use soft pastels and all things cute. I don’t know this little Amelia Rose – but her parents sure are blessed! And seriously…what an awesome name to have! I just adore it! I made this card by request for a friend about 2 weeks ago so I’m hoping it got to it’s destination and that I can share this. I honestly don’t make time anymore to craft like I used to and most things I share are things I’ve made by request for friends who need one made. The new 30 day coloring challenged started on September first and I didn’t even realize it. Being sick and celebrating my 13th wedding anniversary may have something to do with the mind lapse this past weekend also…
That man right there is my husband. I’m a lucky girl because he is an amazing father and support system for us all despite his struggles with trying to finish up his last month of residency right now. Life has been rough on us and he’s been in school our entire marriage. I’m so glad I won’t have to say that again soon :).
Sorry for the tangent…back to the card! I die-cut a cloud to use as a stencil to create the sponged background. Then the rest is simple stamping and embossing of the letters. The cute little monkey was colored using copic markers. Can you guys what the HARDEST part of this card was? Those strings!!! I used gold thread – and they did not want to stay. I ended cutting two little slits on each end to hold the thread in place at the bottom of each balloon but it was still difficult to hold them all in place. Finally, I added two layers of glossy accents over the pink and mint green letters.
Hope you enjoyed that! I’ll try to get more posted soon. I got some images stamped last night for the 30 day coloring challenge so that’s motivate me to make some cards! Have a wonderful rest of your week and thanks for stopping by!
XOXO,
