I’ve been stamping and playing with some older sets that I haven’t gotten a chance to play with. This Botanical Thanks set by Mama Elephant is BEAUTIFUL. They also have a Botanical Hello set that is equally stunning and you can see a sample of it in a previous post I did HERE.
This is a panel I watercolored while at the Kathy Racoosin Coloring Challenge Roadtrip in St. Louis two weeks ago. I haven’t made cards of anything I colored so I pulled this out yesterday and started putting it together.
I stamped the image in Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. Since I was traveling, I didn’t want to bring containers for water, so I had my Pentel waterbrush and used that to watercolor this image using Daniel Smith watercolors.
I decided to accent this card using some Stardust Stickles on the word thanks and added strips of gold sparkle paper. My friend Jill loves to sew on her cards – I haven’t done it in a very long time and decided to add some stitching to this card as well. I hope you like it!
Before I go, I want to share one more card that I shared on Instagram recently – I made this card at Stamping Away. I love hummingbirds so much!
I colored this one using Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. I had not used those in a very long time also and brought them with me to use. The colors are so vibrant when activated with water!

Caly these turned out absolutely gorgeous. You just get better and better every time I see your cards. It’s been a long time since I have commented or anything (about 3 months after your baby was born) but I have been keeping up with your work. I’m like a card sniper always in the background watching but you don’t see me 🤪. Just been so busy with moving and trying to get life back in order that I barely get a chance to relax. But I had a moment and wanted to say hi.
