Hi Friends!
I’m joining My Favorite Things (MFT) today as a “friend” in their MFT and Friends series. This series helps get the crafting community involved in sharing fun projects with the new products recently released by MFT. I’m so happy you’re here today! Be sure to check out the MFT & Friends blog post today to see all the details and projects from the other talented MFT crew and friends (you can also click on the banner below)!
The MFT Cross-Stitch Tag die was the first cross-stitch dies that I bought. If you don’t already know, I spent months and months, hundreds upon hundreds of hours cross-stitching my family’s Christmas stockings. I realize the hard work that goes into it and was hesitant about stitching on paper for cards. So I started small and got that die hoping it would ease me back into the time commitment required to make a card. I have since purchased a full cover die for stitching and was sooo excited when MFT released their Scallop Cross-Stitch Tag dienamic! I knew right away that I wanted to use it for my project today in addition to their new Mini Rolled Roses dienamics!
I stitched the entire panel using a pattern I found online in a soft blue. I used 6-stranded embroidery floss – all 6 strands to stitch this panel. Then I cut out the flowers using various felt that I had on hand using the new Mini Rolled Roses dienamics and MFT’s Fab Foliage dienamics. I layered everything on the cross stitched tag and adhered it all down using my detailed hot glue gun.
To complete the tag, I added a sentiment from MFT’s Amazing stamp set after embossing it in white on black card stock. I tied two pieces of ribbon after threading it through the tag and tied a knot to keep the ribbon in place. I also like that it is somewhat stationary.
I really hope you enjoyed this stitch/felt project! Thank you so much for stopping by today. Thank you MFT for asking me to be a part of this feature! It was truly a pleasure!
XOXO,

Hi Tammy! I alternated a simple X with a stitched called the Smyrna Stitch. You can find it here: https://www.anniescatalog.com/cross-stitch/content.html?content_id=712&type_id=S
