Welcome back for Day 2 of the Lil’ Inker Designs September Release Blog Hop! I’ve got 2 cards to share with you today using the new Monsters Ink stamp set. The first is a fun and bright card using Halloween colors, but I think you can create this year round with different colors.
I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers. After coloring and die cutting, I added glossy accents to the monsters’ eyes and set it aside to dry while I worked on the background.
Copic colors used: Y11, Y19, V000, V01, YG11, YG06, W00, W0.
For the background, I die-cut a peek-a-boo panel using the Perfect Palette die and ink-sponged some Carved Pumpkin and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink, alternating with each opening. For the sentiment, I embossed in white over black paper.
My second card features the monsters from the same stamp set. I colored them using the same copic markers, but decided to make a scene using the new Spooky Trees dies. I die cut the trees using a craft-colored cardstock, then ink-blended with Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink.
For the background, I ink-blended Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink for the sky and Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide ink for the ground. Again, I embossed a sentiment strip on black cardstock to complete the card.
