Lil’ Inker Designs – October Release Day 1 Blog Hop + GIVEAWAY

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Lil’ Inker Designs October Release reveal!  I’m starting the blog hop out with some fall inspiration and will share holiday cards on the next two posts tomorrow and the day after.

LID Hap-Pie 1

First, let’s start with the Hap-Pie card.  This is a mini stamp set with an image of a slice of pie.  If you don’t want to color, you can also die cut one using the Pie Die.  For today’s card, I decided to color.  I stamped the image using a Copic-friendly ink and colored the image using the following Copic colors:  0, B000, B0000, E31, YR20, YR24, YR27.

For the background, I ink-blended a burst of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink.  Then I used a leaf burst stencil and added Picked Raspberry ink over it for some added color.  I then propped the image up on foam tape over the ink-blended area.  The sentiment is stamped over black paper and embossed with white embossing powder.  The panel is then die cut with the Dual Stitched Rectangles die to mat a larger orange/red piece of cardstock for an A2-sized card.

For my second fall card, I used the Blossoms and Banners stamp and die set.  I decided to create a full image by stamping two different banners and adhering one on top of the other after coloring.   Again, I stamped the images using a Copic-friendly ink and colored with the following Copic colors:  E50, E53, E34, Y13, YG07, G05, YG23, YG17, YR14, YR18, R14, R39.

Once again, I decided to ink-blend a burst of color where I planned to adhere my colored image.  This time, I used Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink.  To add extra interest, I used smaller individual images from the same stamp set and used a light brown to stamp the images around the ink-blended area.

Once I was happy, die cut the panel using the Dual Stitched Rectangles die and I adhered the colored image down on foam tape.

  1. Your cards are terrific, and I love the autumn banner stamp set! The card you made with it is perfect– I really like the colors you used. I never would have thought to put the work lipstick color in the background but it is lovely.
