Hello!
I’m so excited to be an MFT friend today to share a project made using a newly release product! If you have seen the new Raccoon Cutie die in action, I hope you’ll enjoy today’s card – which also features the Friendly Fox from January!

I love these die-cut critters so much that I had to make a card with BOTH and there’s no way to fit them both on an A2-sized card so I’ve created a slimline card today. This card is 4×8.5 folded and fits nicely in a #10 envelope with some space on the sides. If you like them even slimmer (like 3.5×8.5) – they will fit perfectly in a #9 envelope. Just some info for you there, if you’re interested in slimline cards. 🙂

I die-cute the sweet critters using cardstock that I currently own – but you can easily use what you have. I think it’s all about blending each piece with darker colors to add depth and dimension to your critters. I do have MFT ink – so I used it for my critters.

On the Raccoon Cutie, I used Grout Gray ink, to add some color to the face; Cement Gray to add color to the body, arm and tail; and Steel Blue to add color to the eyes and darker parts of the tail.

For the adorable Friendly Fox, I added Persimmon ink to the body and used what was left on my blending tool to add a small amount of it also on the tail and face. Both critters have Pink Lemonade ink on their cheeks and ears.

After assembling the critters, I highlighted them with white gel accents. Then I created a background which is made using a single 3.75×8.25 white card panel, sized to mat the card base. I ink-blended it using the Clouds Stencil and Grassy Fields die (which I die-cut on strong cardstock to use as a stencil). The balloons are die-cut from the Birthday Balloons die set and colored them with Copic markers (V000, BG11, Y00). The sentiment is from the Happy Hippos stamp set.
I really hope you enjoyed this card! Thank you all for joining me today!

I really liked your foxy raccoon greeting card and the fact that you placed them on a longer card! I need to remember to create my own card size too (sometimes)! They look like they are shiny to me? How did you do that? Thanks for the cuteness!

An adorable slim-line card using Raccoon Cutie and Friendly Fox. I love how you added depth with your inks but I really, really love your white gel highlights.
