Hi, Friends!

Welcome back!  Pretty Pink Posh is running a sale for these adorable School Friends this weekend.  It’s great for any time of the school year as well as graduations.  I’ve created one today that can be used for students or teachers using one of the new stencils from the last release.

I think this card is all about the background – so let’s talk about that.  I used a very light mint colored cardstock and used the Wide Stripes stencil to add some teal reactive ink.  The inks I used are from Hero Arts and they’ll be available next week.  For now, you can at least put them on your wishlists – because I assure you, they are wonderful!  They blend incredibly and come in such beautiful colors! I blended a darker color around the outside, then blended towards the center with a lighter color.

Once done ink-blending, I added some interest by splattering water, then some of the reactive ink (diluted in a drop or two of water), and some white paint as well.  Then I set my background aside to dry as I colored my images from the School Friends set using Copic markers.

I centered the sentiment and stamped it with a black pigment ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder before adhering the images to my card using foam adhesive and trimming the card by 1/8” all around to mat the card base for a nice white frame.
