Welcome to Altenew’s Build-A-Flower Blog Hop. Today’s release features the Bellflower! The Build-A-Flower sets always come with dies – so it’s already a bundled set.

For today’s card, I decided to stick to the traditional Bellflower colors. I know they come in pinks, but when doing a search, I found primarily purple. I’m noticing now that I actually used the same purple inks that are included in the ink bundle shown above!

This is a stamp layering set with 4 layers for each of the flowers. I used Wisteria, Hydrangea, Ultraviolet, Andromeda for the purple flowers (going from lightest to darkest). The stems and greens of the bellflowers are stamped with Forest Glades and Evergreen ink. Finally, the pistil (the yellow/orange stem in the center…yes, I looked it up because I’m a nerd), is inked with Sunray and Snapdragon ink.

Once all of my images are stamped, I die-cut my images and set them aside to work on the card background. On a white panel, I ink-blended Scattered Straw, then blended in Abandoned Coral in the middle, and Dusty Concord towards the bottom.

I splattered my background panel with water and watered-down Dusty Concord ink. To arrange my card, I first laid down the stems. All the flowers are added using foam adhesive for dimension except the two largest flowers at the top and bottom of the card. The sentiment is from the Adore You stamp sent and is embossed in white over black cardstock.
