My Favorite Things – October 2019 Release: 4 Days Until the New Release

Hi, Friends!

Welcome back for another countdown to the My Favorite Things October Release! We’re 4 days away and today, I’m sharing a card made from a new set designed by Stacey Yacula called Merry Wishes.

To create my card, today, I started by stamping and coloring my images with Copic markers. After coloring, I die-cut my images and added white gel highlights to the images.

Copic colors used:
Purples: BV11, BV13, BV17
Blues:  [B000, B12, B04], [B24, B29]
Mauve:  R83, R56
Greens:  [YG07, YG45, YG67], [YG07, G09]
Yellow/Orange:  Y08, YR16
Reds:  R05, R29
Teals:  BG45, BG49
Browns: [E31, E55], [E00, E000], [E31, E23]
Pinks:  RV11, R85, R30
Grays:  C0, C3, C5, C6, C8, W1, W3

To create my background, I ink-blended Salty Ocean and faded to white using Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Inks. I then used the Snowfall-Vertical Stencil to apply Versamark ink and applied pearl embossing powder to emboss the snow.

Finally, I adhered my images to create my scene surrounding the Christmas tree being decorated by the adorable critters. To add some sparkle, I added some silver glitter adhesive to the ornament dots on the light strings of the tree and the one the bunny is holding.

Be sure to stop by again tomorrow for another countdown post/sneak peek!

  2. This is a special, friendship Christmas stamp set. Your oh-so-pretty card has wonderful gleaming from the white strokes, the sky is stupendous, the tree is so perky and “alive” with its colors, and the layout is great.
