My Favorite Things – MFT & Friends – October 2019 Release

Hi, Friends!

It’s release day! All the fabulous holiday products we’ve been creating with are available for purchase now! I hope you’ve been inspired and are ready for more projects shared by the MFT design team and our friends! Be sure to check out the MFT Blog for the full line up!

My card today features the Merry Moments set along with the Classic Snow Globe and shaker pouch. It creates a classic holiday snow globe scene. The images on this set are smaller and are perfect for the Classic Snow Globe! I started by die-cut the dome of my globe and then adhered the shaker pouch to it and then set it aside. Then I stamped and colored my images with Copic markers, then die cut the images (G21, G29, R05, R29, B0000, E23, C0, C1, C3, C7).

I adhered all of my images to the inside of my globe towards the bottom where it meets the paper. To seal the images in place, I die-cut the dome once more using craft foam. This gives the shaker more room and adds more space between the image and the background. On a top-folding card base, I ink-blended Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks and splattered it with some water and lots of small splatters of white ink for snow.

Before sealing my shaker, I added some artificial snow/flock. Then to decorate the front panel, I die-cut the base of the snow globe using Kraft cardstock and ink-blended it with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink. I embossed the sentiment over it using white embossing powder and finished it by adding a few dew drops.

The card looks simple but it’s all about the shaker! Santa’s resting with his polar bear friend after an evening of hard work. I hope you enjoyed it!
