Hi, Friends!

MFT is releasing a card kit this month and we’re counting down until it’s available Tuesday at 10am EDT! I’ll be sharing 3 ways to use this kit so I hope you’ll join me again the next two days to see the project. Little message bottles are often used for decor or to hold sentimental keepsakes so today’s card is created with that theme. Without completely giving away my next two cards, let’s just say that one floats and the other sinks!

Today’s card is super clean and simple. I die-cut the message in a bottle opening for my shaker pouch and stamped my Little Love Note to go in the bottle. I also die-cut the cork and colored it. On the card base, I ink-blended Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide Ink lightly to give the bottle some color. I punched two holes on the sides at the neck of the bottle to add twine and used a mini clothing pin to attach the twine as if it were a wall hanging decor.

The cork is die-cut from Kraft card stock and colored/dotted with Copic markers E11, E13, and E15.  To attach it, I used a kraft knife and cut a slit at the top of the shaker pouch and slid it in.  I secured the top portion with foam adhesive. The final thing I did was add a scallop frame to give the card more interest.
