Hi Friends!

I’ve got a quick card to share today using the Light Me Up set from the latest Love You Release. I’ve seen such cute cards made with this set and didn’t think any ideas would come to me, but when in doubt, make a rainbow!

I stamped all the lightbulbs with Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. You can definitely use black ink – I just liked the raised effect for these lightbulbs.

I colored all the lightbulb bases with C1 and C3 Copic markers and the heart in the center with R29. Using a scrap piece of cardstock, I masked off the bulb bases and ink-blended each of the bulbs with Distress Oxide Inks in rainbow order. I die-cut last to prevent harsh ink catching on the edges.

I stamped and embossed my sentiment and centered it at the top of my slimline panel. Then I lightly ink-blended the coordinating rainbow colors on the panel before adhering the bulbs over the top with foam adhesive for lots of dimension. I adhered this panel over a cardbase made from ivory cardstock to give it more subtle color.
