Hi, Friends!

A new challenge has begun over on the Lawn Fawnatics Blog. I hope you’ll check it out to view more inspiration from the team! The theme this time is an inspiration board with Spring in mind.

I was inspired by the image in the bottom right of this inspiration board. I hope you see what I tried to recreate with Lawn Fawn’s adorable dies! I die-cut each sun and ink-blended the rays with Wild Honey Distress Oxide Inks. I adhered acetate to each to create a shaker window and filled the space using some confetti and then sealed them in with foam adhesive.

I used the Stitched Sun Frame and Outside In Stitched Sun to create a shaker card that is a window to the inside of the card (which isn’t anything special -but it’s fun for the recipient!). I lightly ink-blended the background panel with Tattered Rose Distress Oxide Ink for a soft and dreamy sky.

I used the Cattails Border die to die-cut the tall grass and to give the green some dimension and extra color. I die-cut the panel from Cilantro cardstock and then ink-blended with Rustic Wilderness ink – then used Copics to color the cattail tops (E30, E34, E37).

To finish, I embossed sentiments from the All the Clouds set. I’ve used these happy sentiments before and love them!
