Hi, Friends!

I’m sharing a simple card today using a few products from Simon Says Stamp. Nothing like classy emboss-resist! I love getting inspiration from friends on Instagram too! I got a card about 2 years using the Dahlia Stem and have wanted to use it! I finally got it recently and paired it with the Friendship Text Background stamp.

I die-cut the Dahlia Stem three times and stacked them for dimension. A simple white stem is perfect over a busy backdrop. After stacking them, I set the stem aside to work on the background.

On a white panel, I stamped the Friendship Text Background and embossed it with clear embossing powder. After setting it with heat, I used Distress Oxides to ink-blend a bold background using Tattered Rose, Abandoned Coral, and Seedless Preserves. I trimmed the panel down by a quarter inch on all sides to clean up the edges.

I attached my Dahlia Stem in the center, then I attached my Friend Die that I prepared using vellum and black cardstock. To finish, I attached some iridescent sequins.
