The Simon Says Stamp February 2022 Card Kit is here. It’s appropriately called Season of Sentiments because it’s packed full of wonderful sentiments in stamps and dies!

My card today used the new Orchid Rose Bouquet set that I paired with the Miss You Die.

My friend, Emily Midgett, illustrated the wonderful Orchid Rose Bouquet. I did break up the large 6″ x 8″ image to frame my card and you can’t see the orchid part of the stamp set. I hope you’ll get to see them in inspiration by other designers. I have another card that shows the entire image that I’ll share at a later time. I stamped the images to frame an A2-sized card and colored them with Copic markers.

Roses:  RV13, RV25, RV29, RV69
Violets:  RV63, RV66
Foliage:  G40, YG41, YG45, G28

When done coloring, I fussy-cut around the images and set them aside. For the background, I trimmed a piece of Fog cardstock (included in the kit) and ink-blended around the edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide Ink. I attached this piece to a card base and attached my Copic-colored images with foam adhesive to give them some dimension.

For the sentiment, I used the Miss You Die. I die-cut the halo layer in vellum and used the pink glitter cardstock included in the kit for the word. I attached the word to the vellum layer using foam adhesive to give it more interest as well. To finish, I used a few iridescent pearls to adhere in the open areas of my card. I hope you like this card! This card kit is wonderful and comes with wonderful sentiments that I didn’t get to use but good sentiments in a simple font is a wonderful staple in your crafty stash.
