Hi friends!

Welcome to Day 1 of the Simon Says Stamp DieCember® 2022 Blog Hop!!! There are lots of fun new products and it’s not all dies, so there’s something for everyone! Today’s card uses a few new fabulous products and I hope you’ll see a lot more inspiration along the way. My card today begins with the background. I used the new Large Chevron stencils to ink-blend a soft, pastel background using Pawsitively Saturated Inks in Earl, Aspen, Lilac, and Bubblegum inks.

Next, I die-cut the Snowflake Hexagon using new Luxe Glitter Basic Cardstock Assortment (2 sheets each of silver and black). If you love chunky glitter – you’re going to love this new cardstock! I also die-cut it from white glitter cardstock, which comes in a new Winter Glitter Pack, which is perfect for your winter projects! I did die-cut the Snowflake Hexagon twice more using plain white heavy weight cardstock to stack for dimension underneath the white glitter layer. I offset them before adhering them together, then onto my background panel.

To finish, I worked on a sentiment using a previously released, Cathy Zielske die called Merry and Bright! I stacked 3 layers of white cardstock and then used the ink pads I used on the background to add color directly to the die-cut sentiment to create color blocks. To give the sentiment more interest, I added some Glossy Accents to the bottoms of the letters and attached some Unicorn Confetti. Then to add more interest to my card, I added some sequins from the new Winter Glitter Sequins mix!
