The much anticipated Altenew Stampwheel is here! This new tool is a stamp-positioning tool. What makes it unique is its circular feature and allows you to stamp wreaths! The clear plate is flipped for inking and stamping. There is a transparent photopolymer sticky mat that sits at the center for easy line-up and holds your cardstock in place. To make lining up easy, as you can see, I’ve added some A2-sized markings on my transparent photopolymer sticky mat, using an A2-sized Grid Transparency. The grid side of the sticky mat faces down into the Stampwheel base, so I used a permanent marker to add my markings on that side.

Because the sticky mat is made of photopolymer material, please note that it can stain (especially reds and blues). Altenew plans to sell replacement sticky mats and hopes to bring you mats and clear plates with additional markings to help you stamp with ease. This flip and click mechanism allows you to stamp with precision!

You’ll also notice that I’ve added some enamel dots on my clear plate to help me know top from bottom and the four corners when I flip and position. This is personal preference and you can label it however you’d like to help you with its use. This was my first time using the Stampwheel base and I was interested in making a wreath. I found it to be really easy and was pleasantly surprised! Being able to turn the clear plate and clicking it in place before stamping ensures precise line up!

My card today is made with the Watercolor Extravaganza and Watercolor Blooms sets. I stamped 3 of each image and rotated my clear plate to stamp the layers for each flower/foliage easily.

Once my wreath was stamped, I stamped the sentiment at the center of my wreath. This Stampwheel is versatile and so easy to use! It is also great for stenciling since your paper will be held in place while you ink-blend!
