Hi friends!
I have a quick project to share today using the new Spellbinders BetterPress Letterpress System! The system comes with everything you need to create projects and is so easy to use!
I created a quick “Short” to share and you can view it on YouTube or my Instagram Channel.
After impressing the image over a BetterPress Cotton Card Panel (also included in the kit), I watercolored the image with Daniel Smith Watercolors. Because the paper is cotton, it takes watercolor very well! Please note, the BetterPress Ink is a hybrid of archival/dye ink and is not alcohol-marker friendly.
After watercoloring, I ink-blended my panel to give it color using yellows and teals. Then I added a Fluted Classic Rectangle detail to the border.
I finished with a few sequins to give it some shine and interest, otherwise, this would be a one-layer card.
Fun Facts about the BetterPress System:
- BetterPress Ink is an archival ink made by Ranger Ink with incorporated dye ink (not good for alcohol-markers)
- BetterPress plates can be used in the Glimmer Hot Foil System, but hot foil plates can not be used in the BetterPress system
