Today, I’m sharing two cards using a debossed embossing folder technique. I made two cards using embossing folders from the Celebrate release a few weeks ago and some requested a video so here it is! Today’s card uses the Hibiscus Cluster embossing folder.

After embossing a white panel, I used the debossed side (the usual back side) to first ink-blend the flowers, then the foliage.
I used a gold pen (Sakura Gelly Roll Stardust Galaxy pen in yellow) and colored the hibiscus center stamen. Next, I used a black felt ink-pad to swipe against the negative space. It captures all the details and makes the flowers and leaves pop!
On this card, I used a dark green foam pad – it’s spongier than a felt pad, so you have to be careful or you’ll get ink where you don’t want it. I got the ink in a few places, but it still looks ok. I just wanted to show that it was doable!
I splattered both cards with fold pain and finished them with sentiments using the Happy Combos set and Happy die.
