Hi there!

My card today uses a stamp/die/stencil combo called Poppy Field from Simon Says Stamps. The set is beautiful on it’s own, but I love the ability to add color with stencils!

For this set, the image fills a space close to 6 x 6 inches, so I stamped and die-cut it first so I could stick it onto my Stamp and Stencil Mat (less paper, more stick). Then I used my stencils to ink-blend to add color. I started with the floral layer. To add detailed shading, I used a flat detail blending brush to swipe color into crevices.

I didn’t want to trim the image, so I placed it over a trimmed A2-sized panel. I splattered it with green ink as well as gold splatters. To finish, I embossed a sentiment from the Poppy Field set in gold to coordinate with the splattered details. I hope you like it!
