Simon Says Stamp – STAMPtember® 2024 Exclusive – Alex Syberia Designs – Close at Heart & Waffle Flower – Hello Sunshine

Hi friends!

Today’s STAMPtember® 2024 exclusive collaboration is with Alex Syberia Designs AND Waffle Flower! The Alex Syberia Designs Close at Heart set is a pretty floral design and I’ve watercolored it for today’s card. Keep scrolling to see how I’ve used the Waffle Flower Hello Sunshine set for a lovely greeting on the other.

I stamped the image with a light ink and watercolored it for a no-line look. I used the following colors:
Crimson Lake, Yellow Ochre, Deep Phthalo Green. That’s right – just three colors (two if you don’t count the minimal amount of yellow I used that you can barely see on the stamen.

For the background, I die-cut the Floral Lattice Cover die twice and stacked them together. I ink-blended some pink on a card base before adhering the Floral Lattice Cover. To add additional interest, I also used a Circle Thin Frame die-cut from Matte Gold cardstock. I then finished with an embossed sentiment.

The Waffle Flower Hello Sunshine set is a sentiment set. What I love about them is the every day greetings and the dies have a beautiful stitching detail.

I used the Pop-Up Tulips Cover Panel Die and Lovely Tulips Background Stencils to make my card. The Waffle Flower Postage Collage Collection is a HUGE hit, but I also love their “Pop-Up” and coordinating stencils collection. The Tulips set is one I have not gotten a chance to use yet so I used this opportunity to ink it up and I have no regrets buying this set all those months ago!

I used a combination of yellow, light orange, pink, and purple to ink-blend the tulips and shaded the leaves with two shades of green. It just gives it more interest to have all the different colors taking your eyes to different places on a card panel.

I finished with a sentiment from the Hello Sunshine set. I really love that you can use ANY of the sentiments on this set any time of the year!
