Simon Says Stamp – Limited Edition Stained Glass Christmas Religious Christian Card Kit

Today’s surprise brings you the 2024 Limited Edition Stained Glass Christmas Religious Christmas Card Kit! This kit is packed full of wonderful products and you wont regret getting it! I didn’t get a chance to use all the products, but I did spend quite some time making today’s projects using a few key items.

I made luminaries/tea light holders to look like stained glass windows using the Stained Glass Christmas set. To do this, I started with the Matte Champagne cardstock. I cut 4″ x 11″ strips and scored them 2.5″, leaving 1/2″ at the end. Cut 1/4″ off the end since this is the tab used to form the box. Before folding the score lines, I used the Stained Glass Christmas dies to die-cut the windows for each of the stained glass windows. Each tea light holder repeats one image from the 3 stained glass window images from the stamp set.

Next, on vellum, I stamped the stained glass images from the Stained Glass Christmas set 4 times with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. On the BACK side of each of these stained glass windows, I colored with Copic markers. To give them the stained glass effect, I stippled the Copic marker onto the already colored areas. The alcohol pigment pushes the pigment that’s already there out, causing it to bloom for the cool texture.

After coloring all of the images, I adhered them to the opened windows that I die-cut into the Matte Champagne cardstock. Then, I added adhesive to the tabs at the end of the box and adhered it together.

On the “front” of each luminary, I added a sentiment that I embossed over Craft Consortium Midnight patterned paper. I also added a few Tim Holtz Idea-ology Metallic Drops. I strategically chose a different front for each of these luminaries.

They also stack nicely next to each other and are great for displaying together!

I also love that they collapse and are sized to fit inside an A2 envelope! Everything I used on this project comes from the kit – even tools! Be sure to check out the full kit contents below!
