Today’s DieCember® card is also a gift card holder! You can make a shaped card, but I put it on a card with a fun swivel design for the reveal of the gift card.

I started by piecing together the Stocking Gift Card Holder. for a fun design, I used the Starburst Plate to emboss the design onto new Steel cardstock and ink-blended with the new Purple Rains ink cubes (using the blue colors). For the stocking top and heal/toe patches, I used white Velvet cardstock for a fun texture.

Instead of gluing the front of the stocking to a back piece for a gift card pocket or die-cutting the gift card slits onto the stocking piece, I punched a hole and used a brad to make a swivel reveal. I adhered the back of the stocking to an embossed panel using the Patterned Stockings embossing folder.

On the front, I covered the brad with another piece of white Velvet cardstock and decorated the stocking with foliage and berries. The sentiment uses the Fanciful Joy and new EZ Strips Rectangles Dies and the coordinating Reverse Joy EZ Strips sentiments.
