Simon Says Stamp – Snowy Birdhouse

Merry Christmas, friends!

I hope you’re relaxing and enjoying a slower pace today. I love a winter card that can be used throughout the cold season, but can also be used as a holiday card. My card today uses a few older products that I’ve combined.

The Snowy Birdhouse Embossing Folder has coordinating dies and gives this card all its dimension. I embossed a panel and the die-cuts. I used brown ink to ink-blend the birdhouse, Rustic Nest, and the inside of the birdhouse. The rest of the birdhouse and embossed panel is colored with Copic markers – including the faux watercolor background.

After coloring all the elements, I added the nest and one of the Layered Birds to the inside of the house. I adhered the bird house on top of the colored panel with thin 3D foam squares to give it dimension before adding the other Layered Bird to the outside of the house. For the snow, I used Glossy Accents and Unicorn Dust on the pine sprigs and snow. I finished with a sentiment strip from the Reverse Typed Christmas Sentiment Strips.
