Simon Says Stamp – Sweetheart Boxes

I have a very cute project to share using the Sweetheart Box die from the To Love release! This treat box die is versatile because it can be used for treats or mini notecards! I have examples for both!

I used patterned paper to die-cut two boxes. On the first box, I stamped the Outline Hearts with Rhubarb ink to give it a Valentine’s pattern. For this box, I decided to keep it treat-themed. I filled the box with conversation hearts, but you can add skittles or another type of candy.

The XOXO sentiment on the heart window is from the Sweetheart Box die set and is die-cut from Crimson Glitter cardstock from the new Hot Tamale Glitter Cardstock Pack.

The second Sweetheart Box box looks more simple, but that’s because it’s filled with three mini notecards.

I die-cut lots of hearts from the Dotted Hearts Embossing Folder and Dies set. I also die-cut some hearts using left over patterned paper for one of the mini cards.

To make each card interesting, I did three different designs. I turned one into a set of heart balloons by adding gold thread for strings. These hearts are simply ink-blended over white cardstock. For the patterned paper hearts, I stacked two and sewed them to the notecard with my sewing machine. These mini cards measure 2.75″ x 3.25″ – small and so cute!

The third card is the most elaborate and you can definitely make a larger version of this on an A2-sized card. I embossed the background and ink-blended some hearts and embossed them with the Dotted Hearts Embossing Folder and Dies. I adhered them to the embossed panel in an ombre fade from purple to yellow. The sentiments are stamped and embossed from the Circle Sentiments set.

I love making treat boxes and love the way these can be used for all occasions if you use other dies to create a window in different shapes and make them in different colors. I hope you enjoyed these two examples for the Sweetheart Box die using several new products from the To Love release!
