I got my first Paper Pumpkin Kit! As a welcome, they even gave me a free acrylic block. How nice! If you don’t know, the Paper Pumpkin kit is everything you need in a box for a complete project – ink, stamps, cardstock and embellishments. They are so fun and exciting to get and you never know what the month’s kit will include until they are shipped. March’s kit is called “Sew You” – some sewing is required. This particular kit comes with the Sew You stamp set (lots of fun sentiments all leading up to the word “YOU” that you need to sew), 9 black and white patterned card bases in 3 designs, 9 die-cut word bubbles, 9 blue envelops, cute blue epoxy stickers, 10 yards of yellow embroidery thread, a needle and 50 dimensionals. Don’t be scared if you’re not a sewer – directions are included and it’s really simple. It does take some time to complete all 9 cards. I started by making one card as directed by the Pumpkin Kit. Here is what it looks like:
The black and white design is on the back and the front of the card, so to get more from my kit, I cut these card bases in half – to get double the amount of black and white sheets. I used different embroidery thread colors that I have on hand and tried to match them with Stampin’ Up cardstock and matted them onto white card bases. So I have total of 9 cards in different colors and an additional 8 pieces of black and white sheets that I can use for other projects.
Isn’t it more fun this way??? I love how they turned out!
