Hello!

It’s been a while and I wanted to share my Splitcoaststamper cards from June.  I KNOW! It’s been 6 months….I’m thoroughly ashamed that I have not posted these sooner.  But there are rules about sharing and now I feel like many of the cards are not “in season” anymore -is there such a thing?  Anyway – I’ll share my favorites today.  I hope you like them!  The theme was “A New Slant” and we based our cards on geometric shapes – or at least I did. 😀

My first card uses repeat stamping using the triangles that come with the “Best Ever Set” by Stampin’ Up.  I repeated the stamps in an ombre  fashion and embossed the tag on vellum. I added some colored banners behind the vellum to help the sentiment stand out, then sewed the banners onto the card front. To give some accent to the card and finish it off, I added a strip of black designer paper.

For my second card, I did a watercolor background and used water droplets to pull up water.  Then I used Lawn Fawn’s “Let’s Bokeh” and white craft ink to add larger circles to create a bokeh look. I added more circles using decorative acetate I cut out using a circle die and embellished the card using gold thread and sequins.

My third card is another watercolor panel, but I decided to use a peek-a-boo die to accent it.  The bunnies and bear are colored using Copic markers. I die-cut the word friends and propped it up with foam tape as I did with the peek-a-boo panel.

My last card is every simple.  I was on a watercoloring kick that month! This geometric heart embossed in gold is the perfect accept for a simple watercolor panel. Extremely simple and accented with a banner of vellum with some Pretty Pink Posh droplets.
