I’ve been keeping myself busy lately with all sorts of last minute projects. I decided on a whim that I needed to do this Ellen Hutson Pin Sights challenge. First off…let me start off by saying that Ellen Hutson is one of my FAVORITE places to buy crafting supplies from. Shipping is always quick and I make a loyal order once a month because they reward loyal customers with 10% off! Anyway, I still don’t know much about the challenge (how often it goes and when), but I wanted to give this one a try. This months challenge is inspired by this photo:
I’m pretty literal with these types of things….so I chose colors close to this swatch to make my card using Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
There are only so many ways to stamp this image (at least that’s how my brain works with this set) – so this is the third card I’ve made with this layout. This time, I stamped a few extra petals so I can layer them on top for some interest.
I embossed the image in black and then water colored everything using the colors in the swatch with a pentel waterbrush.
The other water color pieces were placed on top to give the flower a 3D look. I added some silver glitter stickles to the centers and die cut the sentiment to finish off the card. Just a quick and fun card I wanted to share…(fussy cutting watercolor isn’t so fun).
