Hi Everyone!

Christmas is quickly approaching and I wanted to use a snowflake stamp set that I recently got by My Favorite Things.  There are so many Christmas and holiday products released every year.  It’s hard NOT to buy any even though I already have a lot that I can use each year.  When MFT released their lip balm products, I thought they were so much fun and had to get them!

I got this homemade lip balm from my friend, Tiffany – who uses real Beeswax.  Thought it would be fun to try it out.  I only bought 8 and didn’t save any for myself…so I hope the recipients like it!

I also got to play with Distress Oxide Inks. I’ve had them a while and a lot of things have been pushed aside or put away on my desk.  I need more time!!!

These colors are so vibrant!  I’m used to controlling the ink saturation and like things really pale, but it’s hard to do that with Oxide Inks.  Regardless, it really did blend on the paper like butter and was fun to use!  I sprayed them with water droplets and then used white craft ink to stamp the snowflakes for a soft wintery look.

I used some tag dies to cut 2 tags from each piece duplicates in white for a backing.  I cut the frames out of gold glitter paper and added a zipper detail to the back of each tag so that the recipient can pull it apart to retrieve the lip balm – thanks to Stephanie Klauck for this awesome idea!

I’m doing a Christmas Sock exchange with some friends this year so I thought I would make a little something for each lady.  Hope you enjoyed this project!  This is definitely an all-occasion project!
