Hi Everyone!!!

I’m so excited to announce that I am guest-designing for the Concord & 9^th February Release!!!  They have 4 bundles and I will be showcasing one bundle every Friday for the next four weeks.

This week features the Everyday Bundle which includes the following products:

I’ve created 4 cards using each of the Tintables Designs and incorporated the Everyday Circle Dies and the Everyday Greetings stamp set.  The Tintables Designs come in 4 pre-printed designs in a pack of 16 (4 of each design) and allows you to watercolor or create ink-resist techniques without heat embossing fuss!  So much fun!  These card fronts are sized so that you can tape them down to minimize warping and cut them down after and still have plenty of room to trim after and still have a full A2 size panel or smaller.

For my first card, I simply watercolored this background using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and added a bit of Wilted Violet in one column of arrows.  I then used the outline of the circle in white from the Everyday Circle Dies and layered three of them randomly on top for added interest.  For the sentiment, I used the word Hello from the same die set cut out in black and stamped the word “gorgeous” from the Dahlia Turnabout set from a previous release on vellum.  Yes, y’all…I painstakingly cut small strips of foam adhesive to adhere this vellum sentiment onto the card – they’re all hidden behind the letters.  I love how this card turned out!

For my second card, I blended distress ink over dotted panel (its not only for watercolor – yay!).  I used Abandoned Coral, Scattered Straw, and Cracked Pistachio to blend the entire panel from top to bottom.

I used the Everyday Circle Dies to cut out the word hello – which I used in the card above and used the negative space for this card.  I embossed the word friend from a stamp in the Everyday Greetings stamp set and adhered this circle onto the card using some foam tape.  Super simple!

On my third card, I thought I would color little rainbows.  I quickly realized it would take way too long and I was making mistakes after coloring a few sections.  I started with Candied Apple Distress ink and when I realized my initial vision wasn’t going to work – I took my brush and loaded it up with water and washed the entire panel with a watered-down Candied Apple color.  For added interest, I also added some Wilted Violet to a few sections.  I then embossed the sentiment You’re The Best Ever from the Everyday Greetings set in gold over a white circle cut out using the Everyday Circles Die.  Again, I propped this up using some foam tape.  Another quick and easy card!

For my last and final feature this week,  I used the remaining Tintable and added flowers from the new Wonderful Forals set (which will be featured in 2 weeks – so stay tuned!!!).  I embossed some flowers and watercolored them using Candied Apple, Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed, Mermaid Lagoon, Tumbled Glass, Lucky Clover and Forest Moss.  Seems like a lot of colors but I only used a bit of each.  To bring the colors forward, I added some black highlights on the words to the right of each letter.
