Concord & 9th – Mosaic Bundle

Welcome back for the final week of my designs for Concord & 9th’s February release!

Today, we’re featuring the Mosaic Bundle:

Mosaic Bundle

Turnabout stamps are so much fun bc you can choose any color combinations you want and most cards will turn out looking differently from person to person based on their color choices.  Look at all the variations (click on the image to enlarge)!  What’s neat about this particular stamp is that it comes with two stamps so you can also stamp a smaller mosaic circle or just the outer rings.

Ok guys – I was pretty frustrated with this first card to be completely honest.  I tried to do rainbow colors isolated in each ring and that’s pretty tough to do because you have to stamp 24 times to be done with this card.  I don’t mind stamping 24 times – but I was getting ink in areas where they shouldn’t be because I couldn’t see it on the stamp and didn’t wipe it off before stamping.  It looked like I was creating a mess as I was going, but it in the end, it turned out ok and the mistakes are not too obvious.

Blog Hey There Burst

I added a vellum circle cut out using the Everyday Circle dies from this release and added the sentiment layered with purple cardstock over black cardstock.  I apologize that it looks dark, but the purple cardstock is more like the purple ring that you see – difficult to capture in a photo.  I added clear Wink of Stella over the words and finished off the card with a few iridescent sequins.

Lawn Fawn Ink colors used: Peachy Keen, Lemonade, Celery Stick, Moonstone, Fresh Lavender.

Blog Hooray Burst

For my second card, I wanted to stamp over black cardstock and wanted to choose celebration colors.  Nothing says celebration like glitter gold, right?  I only stamped/embossed twice – in gold and white.  The sentiment stripe is vellum with the hooray cut out in white and glitter gold cardstock.  This month when you spend $60 or more, you will get Hooray die for free!

Blog Fabulous Friend Burst

My third card is a full burst with one layer embossed in gold.  I layered 5 layers of the sentiment in black for some dimension and the top layer is offset in gold glitter cardstock – can you tell I like to offset my sentiments?  It adds a shadow and helps make the sentiment stand out more.

Lawn Fawn ink colors used:  Peachy Keen, Merman, Fresh Lavender.

Blog Wonderful Burst

For my last card, I decided to use only the smaller stamp and did three bursts.  They are all a little different using pearl and silver pearl embossing powders.  The sentiment is made of the Wonderful Florals die set left over from last week’s projects.  I used my T-ruler to help me line the letters up.  After adhering them down, I added glossy accents over the top to finish off this card.  The image above really doesn’t give this card justice – it’s so much prettier in person!

I’m sad to say that this is my last week designing for Concord & 9th!  It’s been such a wonderful experience and I’ve enjoyed it so much!  I’m so grateful for the opportunity to design for such an incredible company and for all the relationships that have transpired or will transpire as a result!  Props to all the amazing designers who do this on a regular basis and to Kari Van Noy and Ardyth Percy-Robb for guest-designing with me this month (they have fancy names, don’t they?)!  I hope you enjoyed all the cards featured!

Thank you for visiting today and until next time…

XOXO,

  1. Wow, Caly! What beautiful cards all with the same turnabout stamp! I love it and love how beautiful and different they are. I really love the word dies too and how you’ve used them along with the “won-der-ful!” So clever, sweet friend! What fun you’ve had with this new release! I do love Concord & 9th! Hugs, and I hope your weather is getting warmer and lovelier! xoxo
