Hi Friends!

Hello Bluebird is having a release in 5 days!!!  You’ll be seeing projects starting tomorrow from the Hello Bluebird design team – which I am so proud to be a part of.  If you missed the announcement a few weeks ago, here is a photo of our design team members:

As an official design team member, I want to share my first card using this Jungle Littles set!  It’s so stinkin’ cute and I colored and cut as much as I could to make this card look as full as possible:

I stamped and colored the images using my Copic Sketch markers.

Colors:  C0, C2, R20, E53, E34, E25, E50, G03, G09, YG25, YG17.

For the background, I used Distress Oxide colors in Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber, and Cracked Pistachio, with a few sprinkles of water to reactivate the ink to create the splattered look.

After cutting the images with the coordinating dies, I layered everything on the background panel, tucking things in and overlapping others to complete this look.

I thought about using a “hello” word die cut from the Gallery Frame Die #1, but felt like it took too much away from the card, so in the end, I stamped a simple sentiment from the Jungle Littles stamp set.  I LOVE this card so much!  Might be one I’ll have to hang onto – don’t you ever feel like there are cards you don’t have the heart to give away??

If you haven’t already noticed – my blog has gotten a facelift.  The domain/url name is now calyperson.com and I’ve updated my banner and the look and feel of my blog.  I wanted you to be able to see more projects at first glance as opposed to seeing the most current post and having to search or scroll to see older posts.  The banner is also updated with just my name – I felt like it would be more professional this way (hand-lettered by yours truly)!  I’m so excited for all these changes as I begin to do more work for other companies.  Thank you all for your support, as always!  I’m so grateful to be a part of this community!
