Hello!
I’m sharing another card made using a Spellbinders die today. Spellbinders has some very intricate dies and I was very excited to get two to their panel dies. If you missed my initial post where I made a tri-fold gate card, you can check out that blog post HERE.
Today’s card is made using the Swirl Lattice Panel die. It’s a larger die that I’m using as a center background accent.
I die cut this swirl lattice pattern die using gold foil paper. It’s beautiful and once cut, it reminded me sort of a gate to heaven, so I thought I would make this a sympathy card. I used stamps from Hello Bluebird’s Flower Garden stamp set and colored them with various Copic colors.
Copic colors used: G21, G82, YG05, G05, Y13, YR14, BG0000, RV00, RV63, B60, BV20, V01, V15.
For the background panel, I used Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Cracked Pistachio) to create an ink-blended background. I adhered the gate, then layered the flowers on top in two corners.
For the sentiment, I decided to emboss over vellum to give the card and overall softness. I used Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
This card is on the bright side, but I thought it’s well suited as a sympathy card once completed. Thanks for joining to me today and Happy June! It will be a busy month!
