I love it when companies collaborate to unite the stamping community. Today, I’m sharing a United We Flourish stamp set that Ellen Hutson collaborated on with Waffle Flower. Waffle Flower has amazing stitched stamp sets – so it was no doubt that this Stitched Together set would be amazing!
Usually when I make cards, I sit down with ONE card in mind and construct until I’m happy. But when I started working on the globe, I was doing lots of lining up in my MISTI and decided to stamp it twice to see where I could take it. Two cards turned into three and this is what I ended up with:
All the inks I used in today’s cards are from Altenew. Altenew dye inks come in many colors that coordinate from light to dark – taking the guess work out for you. I embossed the globe stands in gold and the sentiments on black paper with white embossing powder.
For the ombre hearts, I drew a light grid using my C-thru T ruler and stamped one row at a time using a light color starting from the top and worked my way down using darker colors as I went. I decided to add some gold thread loops as an accent on the card above.
For my second card, I die-cut the heart-stamped panel with a rectangle stitch die. I propped it up on some white craft foam and tied some hemp to finish off the card. The sentiment strip actually covers another row of stamped hearts – but didn’t want to cut off two rows of hearts and felt it looked better that it covered up only one row.
For my last card, I decided to cut out a window and put the globe in the center. I used 3M foam tape to give it some added dimension and stamped the sentiment on a long strip of black cardstock to give it some contrast.
