Welcome back to week 3 of my Leading Lady feature for Winnie & Walter!

I’m trying to keep my themes on coloring mediums going so today – I did watercolor with Tombows!  I recently started watercoloring with Tombows and I love it!  The technique is similar to what you would do with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers (or distress markers…or whatever markers you use).  Simply apply color in the darker areas you want with darker shading, them draw that color out using a damp brush – making it as intense as you’d like and with as many layers of color as you’d like.

For this card, I used the Winnie & Walter Dog-gone Cute stamp set and coordinating dies.

I painted an entire panel with the dog house and puppy and thought I’d get lucky with a one layer card – but didn’t like it enough, so I started die cutting it apart and created an accent watercolor background just around the dog house.  This puppy is so happy and free – I adore him!

I contemplated on what to do with a sentiment for a while and in the end, I couldn’t shorten the strip because I wasn’t really happy with it anywhere – so across the top it went to give the entire card additional color, if you will – an all-encompassing statement.  🙂
