Hello, Friends!

A couple of weeks ago, I colored all the images from the Elephant Friends stamp set by Hello Bluebird.  These elephants are sooo cute!  I tried to be a little more whimsy and colored the mouse in purple and the bunnies in pink.

Copics colors used:  R20, R30, R00, R0000 (bunnies), V0000, V01 (mouse), T0, T2 (elephants), BG11, BG13 (balloon), Y00, Y08 (duck, butterfly), B00, B000, E31 (flag/banner).

I started to make one card for today’s post, but ended up making 2 because there are so many cute little images!

For my first card, I ink-blended a background using Distress Oxide inks (Peacock Feathers, Worn Lipstick, Cracked Pistachio).  I blended the top two colors together, but decided I wanted a line for the ground, so I masked off that area while blending.  I used the Gallery Frame Die #1 for both cards, but only used the outer border for my first card.

I created this scene with the elephant as the focal image and wanted the critters to follow/root him on.  To fill the space, I added some sparkling clear sequins by Pretty Pink Posh.

I had so many images left over after making the first card, so I went ahead and made another card using the remainder images.

This second card is certainly a bit busier, but I thought it would be fun to use them all over the Gallery Frame Die #1.  I know I’ve used this die a lot but I really love the dimension it gives and draws your eyes all over!  The hello script die is also a part of this die set!  I propped the center collage portion up and adhered the images over that.

The word “hello” is adhered to the gingham background which I stamped in a soft pink using a background stamp by Hello Bluebird.
