My friend Melissa got married yesterday and asked me to make these cards for her – to give to her close friends and family on her wedding day. She requested for these cards to be like my previous card using this Lil’ Inker Designs Sweet Celebration card. You can find that post HERE.
She asked for me to make them with a black base and I have to be honest – I was worried about how that would look at first! I’m so glad it ended up looking elegant and beautiful! I stamped each flower, leaf and evergreen branch 18 times. Because there were so many images, I used my Brother Scan N Cut 2 to make the cutting time more practical. I’m grateful for it in times like this!
The gratitude sentiment is from the Altenew Sakura Blossom Build-A-Flower set and the love sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Love set. I embossed the sentiments on the black card bases using Wow! Sparkle Gold embossing powder and then adhered the die-cut heart and began arranging each floral cluster.
To finish the card, I added Nuvo Glitter drops in Golden Sunset in the center of the flowers and a few accents on the black cardstock next to the flower clusters.
Congratulations to Melissa on her wedding day! I have no doubt it was an unforgettable day and am so grateful she asked me to make these cards as a contribution to her special day!
