Welcome to the the Pinkfresh Studio October Release Blog Hop! I’ve created a card using the new Lush Greenery stamp and die set. The split images are so fun and can be used in a variety of ways. Today, I’ve decided to make it fun by making an acetate card.
I started by stamping both images (there are two different images) on white cardstock using a Copic-friendly ink. I colored the images using various Copic markers, then die cut them out and trimmed off the ends to align them with the top and bottom of the acetate.
Copic colors used: C2, G40, G21, YG63, YG06, G14, G03, G05, G09, G17, Y13, Y16, E07, E19, YR09, R27, R39
Initially, I had gone with an A2 sized card, but decided there was too much white space to balance the card out, so I trimmed it to a square size. I also die cut one additional cut of each to back the image from inside the card to hide the color bleed from the front images.
To create further balance, I ink-blended Old Paper Distress Oxide ink fading towards the center where I embossed the sentiment in black. To finish the card, I decided to add flat round iridescent sequins to the acetate. I thought this was perfect to break up the space and to give the card a bit of added interest.
