It’s the final day of the Lil’ Inker Designs October Release Blog Hop! I really hope you’ve enjoyed all the projects and that you’ve been hopping along with us for your chance to win this entire release. I LOVE these products and really enjoyed making these projects. My last and final card is made using a beautiful stamp set called Classic Christmas. There are also 3 new sentiment dies and I’m using one on today’s card.

This set is a larger set with a corner stamp and two smaller stamps. I decided to use the corner stamp and stamped twice to frame in this card. I decided to water color, so I used Bristol Vellum cardstock (Bristol Smooth is great too, but I got the vellum paper by accident and find it works well also).

I started by embossing the images in my MISTI by stamping with Versamark Ink and embossing with a gold embossing powder. This helps to guide my coloring so that I don’t make the process too hard on myself…AND it’s gorgeous! I used Tombows for this card – adding color to the shaded areas and this stamp set makes it super easy because it’s already detailed to show you where shaded areas should be. Then I went in with a damp watercolor brush and pulled the water out giving all the areas color where they were needed. Then I outlined the entire image with blue and blended that out into the white space of the card.
Tombow colors used: 847, 856 (Reds), 679 (Purple), 879 (Brown), 933 (Orange), 177, 249, 245 (Greens), 453 (Blue).

When I was done coloring, I set the panel aside to air dry and die cut the sentiment. There are three new holiday word dies and for this project, I’m using Season’s Greetings. I placed the sentiment in the center of the card and finished it off with some clear droplets and added glossy accents over the sentiment to give the images for some added dimension and interest.
