I’m excited to be a part of the Heffy Doodle Release blog hop today!

I’ve made a card using the new Hoot-iful stamp set.  I first stamped and colored the images using Copic markers.  I used the following colors:  E41, E31, E23, E37, R20, YG06, G05, Y00, Y13.  Then I die-cut the images using the coordinating Hoot-iful dies.  I added white gel highlights and set the images aside to work on the background.

I used a simple circle die to cut out a window and added a stitched border.  For the opening of the window, I die cut another panel using the Stargazer Backdrop die.  Then I ink-blended Distress Oxide inks over the panel using Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch. Then on the cardbase, I ink-blend Mustard Seed Distress Oxide ink so the yellow could be seen through the Stargazer background die.  I also filled the stars with some glossy accents to give the stars some shine.

Once the Stargazer panel was adhered to the cardbase, I added 3M foam tape to the circle window panel and began adhering the images to the card to create the night scene.  I stamped the sentiment on black cardstock and embossed it with white embossing powder.  I chopped up the long sentiment to break it up and adhered it to the card in the white space in the bottom left hand corner.
