Concord & 9th – Winter Wear

The new Concord & 9th release is here and look what I got to play with! This Winter Wear stamp set is so much fun! I love these little friends and how cozy they look! The stamps come in individual pieces so you can pair everything together in the MISTI to align before stamping. They are easy to line up also.

I started by stamping the images on Copic-friendly paper. Then I colored the images using Copic markers: V000, V12, R05, R39, BG11, BG34, R20, E50, E30, Y26, YR27, E23, E55. Have I ever told you before that I think red is a scary color when coloring with Copic markers? Let me say it again if you haven’t heard me say it again in case you’ve missed it. RED IS A SCARY COLOR WHEN COPIC-COLORING. Gah…the bleeds are soooo not cool! I don’t have dies, so I fussy cut around my images.

For the background, I ink-blended Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers over a white card panel. I used a stitched border die to add a frame and I splattered some water-droplets, then adhered the images over it in the center.

For the sentiment, I stamped over vellum using Versafine Onyx Black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. I completed the card by adding a few dew drops and mounted the card panel over a teal mat.
