Hello!

For the 4th and final day of the Hello Bluebird release, I’ve created my very first galaxy background to showcase the North Star set.  

I created my background by watercoloring streaks of greens and blues with a starting point at the bottom center of a watercolor paper panel.  Then I added black to the outer edges and along the blue and green streaks to add color.  I was inspired by this Prima Watercolor Post that I saw on Instagram as I was flipping through my feed before starting my card and thought it was perfect!  I have not created a galaxy background before and this one caught my interest:

Did I come close?  I tried my best…I really did!!!  After watercoloring, I set the panel aside to dry while I worked on the other elements.  I stamped and colored the bunnies using Copic markers using W0, W3, and R20.  I kept the images minimal because I wanted the focus of this card to be on the background and the other stamps in this sentiment.

I die cut a hill using the Hill and Dale die out of white glitter cardstock and adhered it to the watercolored panel using some foam tape.  Then I centered the bunnies and was able to position the stamps and sentiment where I wanted them before embossing them in white directly to the watercolored panel.  

I really hope you enjoyed today’s project.  It’s definitely a new one for me and I was pretty nervous about it!  This release is chalked full of cuteness and I hope it inspires you to create!
