Hello and welcome to the Waffle Flower December Release Blog Hop! Waffle Flower’s 2018 December release is sweet and simple. Halftone Background stamp set features a gradient of dots that can be overlapped and stamped in two colors to create the look of a blended background. In this release you will also find the lovely Thinking of You  stamp set featuring the same girl from the Always stamp set hugging the cutest cat ever. The Cookie Love Stamp Set (stamp, die, combo), illustrated by Big Bear and Bird, is perfect for anyone wanting to send some love or get a jump on their Valentine’s cards! And the 2×3 Lettuce stamp set (stamp, die, combo) offers a cute punny greeting for a friend.

I have a tag and card for you using several of the new release products.  Let’s start with the tag!  I die-cut the tag using the Dotted Tags from the November release.  I masked off the dotted border and used the Halftone Background stamp to stamp that space with a green ink (Catherine Pooler Seafoam ink).

I stamped and colored the lettuce images using the following Copic markers:  YG05, GY09, G09, RV69.  After cutting the images out using the coordinating Lettuce Die, I adhered them to the tag using foam tape to add dimension on the top lettuce friend.

To finish off the tag, I added some green twine and some green bells. I know they’re more Christmas-y but I didn’t get to use any bells on any previous tags so I decided…why not?

For my second card, I stamped and colored the new Thinking of You set using Copic Markers.  Copic markers used:  E55, E57, E59, W0, W3, E50, E30, V01, V12, V15, V17, BG11, BG34, BG49, G21, G94, G03, G17, R17, R39, B000.  Once done coloring, I highlighted the image with a white gel pen.  I also went around the entire image with the B000 marker to give it a soft outline.

I trimmed the colored panel to a 4″ x 5.25″ panel to mat an A2 sized teal panel to match the sweater on the girl.  To finish off the project, I embossed the sentiment from the same stamp set on black cardstock using white embossing powder.  I cut the sentiment strip down and adhered it to the card using foam tape. As a final touch, I added some shimmer to the berries, her eyelids and headband using Wink of Stella.
