Hi Friends!

I shared this card on the Pretty Pink Posh blog a few days ago and wanted to share it here also. I tend to blog EVERY card I make but I’m finding less and less time for it these days.

I love Crocus Flowers so I was really excited to be able to create a card using these new stamps! I have a patch of it on each side of my porch that grow early in the spring. They are a vibrant purple and are the inspiration for this card. Actually, this photo is:

They are gorgeous little flowers, but unfortunately don’t last long….once the flowers wilt, you’re left with LONG leaves that become so long and bend over and it’s a hot mess. I try to enjoy it while I can!

I colored the images using Copic Markers (Y08, G03, G19, B00, BV01, FV2, V09) and ink-blended the card using Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry, Spun Sugar, Cracked Pistachio, and Peacock Feathers. I sprayed the panel with droplets of water, and then splattered it with white ink, then heat embossed the sentiment from the Simple Sayings: Courage stamp set using Versafine Onyx Black ink with clear embossing powder.

To complete the card, I trimmed 1/8″ off each side and added the foliage and crocus flowers with a slight overhang to give the card some added interest. To add a final touch of shimmer, I added Nuvo Glitter Drops to the floral centers. I hope you enjoyed this card! Thanks so much for stopping by today!
