Hello everyone! We are excited to announce the arrival of Waffle Flower’s February 2019 release. We have 6 new stamps and 6 dies in this release.

We have plenty of fun florals to color including a big, beautiful bloom and lovely girls relaxing in Peony Dreams (stamp, die, combo) illustrated by our new artist, Oana Befort. We also have soft and delicate flowers in the Be.You.Tiful You stamp set (stamp, die, combo) that make great wreaths and frames, illustrated by our new artist, Karla Jodoin. The Be Her stamp set (stamp, die, combo) designed by Big Bear & Bird features four of the cutest animals and tons of accessories to adorn them. The scripty font of Label Greetings (stamp, die, combo) is an elegant take on the popular label maker look and is a quick way to make perfect sentiment strips. The Little Fairies stamp set (stamp, die, combo), illustrated by Kamo, has fairies, flowers and a fountain for creating sweet garden scenes. Tiny Terrarium, (stamp) our 3×4 set this month, includes sweet foliage and a darling bunny perfect for spring. And the Diamond Texture Die (die) (by cardmaker JJ Bolton) is one of a series of dies designed to give more interest and depth to your card backgrounds. 

I’ve created 3 cards for this release and was happy that they were displayed at Creativation this year! The first card features the Peony Dreams set. I stamped and colored my images using Copic markers. To add some interest, I added white-gel highlights to images after die-cutting them with the coordinating Peony Dreams dies. The background is ink-blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to help make the image pop.

My second card features the Label Greetings set. I LOVE this set and wanted to use it as a stand-alone set, but it would work beautifully with any stamp set/images. I embossed the sentiment labels over black cardstock using white embossing powder and die cut them out using the coordinating Label Greetings dies. I then ink-blended over PINK cardstock using Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink to create this background. Before adhering the sentiment strips to the card, I splattered the background with white ink. I adhered the label greetings on the card panel with foam tape to give it dimension, then finished off the card with some clear Nuvo drops – it’s so pretty because it absorbs the purple ink and gives it a subtle and natural color.

My last card features the Be-You-Tiful stamp set. I stamped and colored the images using Copic markers and die cut them using the coordinating Be-You-Tiful dies. I masked off a section smaller than the Picture Frames die that I had die cut from white cardstock to ink-blend using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Ink. Then I added my floral images and foliage to accent the frame before stamping the sentiment in the center of the frame.
