Pretty Pink Posh – Watercolored Wild Roses

Hi, Friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I’m running behind (at least to me). It feels like I haven’t been able to catch up from Creativation from over a month ago. I got overwhelmed with all the stamps that I got and have been trying to do a lot of guest design work that has spread me too thin. If you haven’t noticed yet, I’ve stopped designing for Hello Bluebird. It wasn’t an easy decision, but I think it’s for the best. I’ve taken the past 2 weeks to relax and spend time with my family a bit more. Anyhow…I tried to be productive this weekend and this post is a bit procrastinated for me as I just finished this card last night!

Pretty Pink Posh florals are my favorite. I love all the shakers and critter stamps, but the florals have my heart. I could use them again and again, coloring them with different colors and mediums and they always turn out a little different each time. Today, I’m using the Wild Rose set.

Today’s card is truly inspired by a recent colored pencil card that Debby Hughes posted. She’s an amazing cardmaker and I really admire her work. She also does wonderful watercolor work – though it’s funny that this card was inspired by a colored pencil card. It was all the white splatters and use of the hello die and sequins that inspired me on this card, specifically.

I watercolored this card using Daniel Smith Quinacridone Purple paint and added the word “hello” cut from purple glitter cardstock using the Hello Friend Script from Pretty Pink Posh. Once I added all the different flowers and adhered them down on the kraft panel, I splattered it with white paint and iridescent shimmer spray. The card is finished off with some Pansy Purple jewels and Sparkling Clear 6mm sequins.

Have a wonderful week!

  1. I always think Pretty Pink Posh floral stamps are so fun to work with. They can be dressed up for elegance and beauty or dressed down for fun and adorable. Your card is simply gorgeous, your watercoloring on it is fabulous. Thank you for sharing this and for the always awesome inspiration. Glad to hear you have/are taking some down time, family first is always the best way. Hugs.
