Hi, Friends!
I’m doing a special post today for Gina K. Designs! Have you played with a wreath builder set yet? I’ll be completely honest – my first time playing with it was at CHA in January during one of Gina K’s make and take sessions. I know…I have been missing out!!! Well, I think I’m making up for it in a big way with my project today because I got to play with the new MEGA Wreath Builder!

I don’t own any large sentiment stamps from Gina K., so instead of using another company’s stamp, I decided to hand-write my own.

It’s not the best – and handlettering really takes lots of practice to perfect but for this project, I think it turned out ok! The template set comes with inner/smaller guides that helped me with the placement of my lettering and when I was done, I simple removed them so I could begin stamping my images.

The frame I purchased will frame a 7.5″ image – which would’ve been perfect for this wreath builder. However, I wanted a lip/overhang to make the framing easier for the mat. So I had to temporarily tape my paper to the wreath template and turn the entire template instead of just the cardstock with each turn. Works out great! Disclaimer: You may need the 12×12″ Memory MISTI for this project. Or you could create yourself a stamping template if you have the die – Jennifer McGuire has an amazing video that you can watch HERE.

Using the Watercolor Flowers stamp set, I stamped my flowers and leaves using some purples, pinks and greens, rotating the template as I went until I filled the frame with the pretty flowers.

Then I framed my project in this 12″x12″ frame that I purchased on Amazon, which mats the 7.5″ x 7.5″ wreath image.

It’s a wonderful piece of art that you can create as a gift or something you can create for yourself! I hope you enjoyed this project! Thank you all for stopping by today!

So pretty, Caly! Those wreath builders are awesome! Wonderful decor for the home. Your handlettering was perfect! 😍 What pen/marker do you use for your handlettering?

That’s written with the Tombow Fudenosuke soft pen (blue barrel). If you need a link, let me know. I should’ve specified.

Thanks! Sorry, just wanted to clarify … you use the soft tip one … the dark green or black barrel, right? The blue barrel is the hard one, right?
