Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Pretty Pink Posh March Product Release Blog Hop! I’m really excited to share today’s card because I just LOVE peacocks! The new Peacock Friends set was so much fun to color, so let’s dive right in!
I stamped and colored my images using Copic markers and die-cut the images after adding some white gel highlights. Then I set the images aside to work on the background.
The background is first ink-blended with Cracked Pistachio and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide Inks (appropriate, right?). After allowing to dry, I embossed the feather images on top using a white pearl embossing powder. Then I splattered the background with some watered down Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and white acrylic paint.
To construct the shaker card, I cut the Scallop Frame using white glitter cardstock, added acetate to it and filled the window with Mermaid Sequins. I used foam adhesive to give the frame/shaker window some height for the sequins to float around and then the images are adhered to the top.
This is my favorite set from this release and I hope you like today’s card!
